The client had struggled for years to get their gas fired heating system to perform satisfactorily despite numerous attempts, leaving the house cold and draughty. Oxon Energy were asked to come up with an energy efficient solution to replace the existing gas fired boiler and investigate the areas of the heating which would not get warm.
The Solution
Replace the 30kw gas boiler with a 16kw Samsung R290 ASHP, replace the HW cylinder and make modifications to the existing heating pipework to ensure that the system was piped correctly where it had not been previously. We also upgraded a handful of radiators within the property.
