Water Source Heat Pump
ENERGY BLADES & HEAT PUMPS
Any body of water can be used to provide heat energy with the right heat extractor. In our short video we look at our M2 Thermogenius installation with a Clausius Ground Source Heat Pump.

We designed and installed the system to utilise a small lake on our clients property. The system will provide district style heat and hot water to two new dwellings and more can be added in the future.
WATER-SOURCE HEAT PUMP
Hydro Heat Pump - WSHP
Water source heat pumps (WSHPs) move heat from a source of water - either from a river or small stream.
They use the constant temperature of the water as an exchange medium instead of extracting the heat from the outdoor air temperature.
Thus, water source heat pumps can reach reasonably high efficiencies (300% to 600%) even on the coldest winter nights, in comparison to 175% to 250% for air-source heat pumps on cool days.

Oxon Energy has installed water-source heat pumps using closed loop lake connectors and energy blades in Oxfordshire and Hampshire.
